Taryn and Chris (along with their adorable dog, Emmett) met me last week for their summer engagement session at Onondaga Park, right in the heart of the Strathmore area of Syracuse. It was a popular evening in the park for photos, as the weather was wonderful (although maybe a touch warm!) and the skies were beautiful and crystal clear.
We met up at the park’s iconic gazebo to figure out our game plan. Taryn’s mom was super helpful and met us to take care of Emmett after the shoot.
One of the best features of the park is that it overlooks the city-scape of Syracuse, which is quite stunning. Normally, in prior years, the top of the Carrier Dome would have been showing directly behind Taryn and Chris. It will be fun to see how the city-scape changes with the construction ending soon!
The sun hit right behind my favorite willow trees for these dreamy pictures. Onondaga Park has some of the prettiest trees and trails available in the city.
Taryn and Chris enjoy concerts, playing sports, fishing and hiking. Hopefully concerts will start up again for these two!
When asked to describe themselves as a couple, Taryn and Chris said “Opposites Attract!” That’s perfect as Chris and Taryn both enjoy New York baseball, but they each have their own favorite team! Chris is a stout Mets fan, while Taryn cheers for the Yankees.
I LOVE that Chris and Taryn wanted to include Emmitt for their session! He was a perfect gentleman, and a camera ham!
I can’t wait to join Taryn and Chris for their wedding day next September in the Thousand Islands.
