Karista & Matt

Karista and Matt met up with me a few weeks ago for their Fallbrook spring engagement session. Getting to work with friends is always a treat for me. I have known and worked with Karista’s dad for many years, and have had the joy of capturing pictures for Karista and Matt as their family has grown from the two of them to include their adorable son.

Today’s world offers so many different ways to meet one’s forever partner. Karista and Matt’s journey started together in high school, where they met through mutual friends. It’s no surprise that, with more than a decade together, the word that they use to describe their relationship is “supportive.” I love that some of the first images that we captured were by a very old, graceful willow tree. It makes me think of the strength and longevity of true love.

Being outdoors is something that Karista and Matt enjoy together. In their free time, they like to go hunting and fishing together. One of their other joys is spending time with their two year old son.

Karista and Matt will be officially be Mr. & Mrs. this fall when they celebrate their wedding day at the stunning Bean Acres in Oriskany Falls.
