Jordan and Nick
If you live in Oswego County, or really anywhere in Central New York, you are likely familiar with the world class fishing on the Salmon River. Not only is it gorgeous in the fall when the salmon are running, but it is breathtaking in the wintertime as well. I have been wanting to do a winter engagement session on the Little Salmon River for ages as it runs through the back part of my property. I was thrilled when Jordan and Nick picked my farm as the location for their engagement session. Luckily we have been very fortunate with sub-zero temperature, so the river was perfect for pictures.
Jordan and Nick met online in 2017. Over the years, I found that so many couples have found their soulmates online. I think it is amazing that the technology opens doors for love that might have otherwise been left unexplored.
When they aren’t being models for their engagement session, Jordan and Nick enjoy watching cooking shows, playing darts, playing board games (Jordan says a TON of board games), wrestling with Jackson, Jordan’s son, and going on road trips.
When I asked them what the one word would be to describe themselves as a couple, they said “Hilarious.” Laughing is probably the best recipe for a happy marriage. 🙂
On a non- frozen day, the river is rather raging, but shallow. When the salmon swim upstream, they are so shallow, you could reach right into the water and just pull them out. Luckily, with the icy cold temperatures we’ve been having, and the shallow water, we had the perfect walking/shooting surface for some unique pictures.
Nothing like a little end of session snow ball toss!
I’m very excited to join Jordan and Nick in November at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Cicero for their wedding day.
