Ashley and Brian
If you are a Syracuse local, you know that so far 2022 has been a whole load of brrrrrrrr!!!!!!! But looking at the photos from Ashley and Brian’s Franklin Square engagement session, you would never know it. The sun was shining, the area was quiet, and the snow created a beautiful backdrop for the photos.
Can I just say, these two are adorable. We first connected when I captured their adorable baby’s newborn photos, and we just clicked! They asked if I also did wedding photography, and if I was available for their wedding day. I think some things are just meant to be!
I don’t know how they managed to do it so well, but they wore the perfect palette of colors for the area. I’m in love with the creams and browns among the buildings.
Franklin Square is one of my very favorite areas to shoot, especially in the winter. It offers a great variety of locations in a really compact area. We flew through their session, because, well, it was 8 degrees and windy. But having everything so nearby made it a snap. We were fortunate that the sidewalks were fairly clear given some of the crazy snow we have been getting. But, I have to admit, I love winter engagement sessions. There is something just so beautiful about the crispness of the snow and how it really makes colors “pop.”
So, I’m starting to love just adding a fun GIF of sessions. I mean, how fun is this?
I can’t wait to join them next for their wedding day in November at The Apple Orchard Lodge in Vernon, NY. In the meantime, stay warm!!
