Many couples have had to shift their wedding day plans this year, but sometimes the date is too important to let it slip by. Although their full on celebration has been postponed to next year, Darcia and Tyler exchanged vows this past Saturday in an intimate backyard wedding at her parent’s house in Fairmount. I have never before seen an at home wedding done so elegantly. The arbor was constructed specifically for the occasion, and there were beautiful touches throughout. When I came home from shooting, I said to Rob that this was the gold standard for how to pull of an amazing backyard wedding when you have to downsize your original plans.

Although I was there for just an hour, the celebration included the ceremony, a small buffet, toasts, and the cake cutting.

The was a bit of hilarity when the wedding vows turned out to be a bit more wordy than expected.

Nothing like a little opening of the champagne bottle to celebrate the moment.
