If you are familiar with beautiful Upstate New York in the summer, you know it is such a phenomenal time of year in the area, especially for a wedding. And few places say country elegance like Tailwater Lodge. With it’s modern, rustic, chic vibe, it excels when hosting any sized celebration. It certainly soared when setting the scene for Charles and Katie’s nuptials.

As a country girl, I am in love with the raw beauty of the venue.
Katie and Charles decided to move forward with their “I do’s” with their closest family and friends to witness this past Friday. When uncertain weather moved us inside from the originally planned outdoor ceremony, I was thrilled to step into the comfort and elegance of the patio portion of the lodge. Family and friends mingled for a few minutes pre-ceremony, and then Katie and Charles exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony, we took a brief stroll through the trails for some portraits at the bank of the Salmon River.
